• One poster per station with the station name and a one-line summary.

• A big 'welcome' poster at the front of the exhibit explaining who we are.

• Purple UoM tablecloths to make us look even more professional.

• A minimum of three volunteers per piece of equipment.

• Remember that different laptops use different power cables.

​

• Make sure all electrical equipment is PAT tested.

• Have a follow-up website and activities for visitors to try at home.

​

• Teach volunteers to speak publicly without technical jargon.

​

• Have glossary posters defining key terms.

​

• Visitors were interested in SLI and Speech Pathology.

​

• Try to incorporate languages other than English.

​

• Have maps of the stations with pictures and increased signage.

​

• Volunteers looked professional with their Manchester ID on a lanyard.

​

• Lots more stickers - maybe a sticker passport where children get to collect one sticker per station.
